THE SUPERFLUOUS CHRISTIAN

We are born subject to this dilemma of overbearing presence one in which everything pertaining to us by experience, knowledge, is how we measure subjective truth. To boil this down in simplicity we define the truths of God by our mind and will. Of course that does not mean that our observations are not true, however are they always spot on when it comes to the final arbitration of truth.

We have learned the truths of the Bible from reading it, by singing about it and by the spoken and written teachings. Now several things prevail; one in which we are lent to believe things by what a supposed authorized person says. Albeit that is why we do have Pastors, Teachers, Apostles, Shepherds, Deacons, and Prophets to help us as gifted members of the body of Christ to maintain the proper bearing.

Acts 17:11 states: "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians..." they actually checked to see what was told to them matched up to the scriptures. If it was good enough for Paul the Apostle it must be good enough for your pastor.

2 Timothy 2:15: "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

1 Peter 3:15: "Always be prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have."
